Nela Martins is the Head of Group Accounting at the Maharishi Invincibility Institute (MII). With 49 years of experience in accounting, she has held various leadership positions in organisations such as the South African Chamber of Mines, the Metal Industries Medical Aid, Crusader Insurance, the Catholic Church, and the Community and Individual Development Association. Nela holds a Diploma in bookkeeping & accountancy from Damelin and has consistently demonstrated her competence and efficiency throughout her career.
Nela is responsible for managing the accounting department, overseeing general accounting functions, implementing financial controls, handling tax submissions, and maintaining relationships with auditors, bankers, and other stakeholders. She takes pride in consistently achieving clean audits and successfully passing independent audit reviews.
