FINANCIAL AID AND ‘PAY IT FORWARD’ BURSARIES

AT MAHARISHI EVERY STUDENT IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A BURSARY

‘Pay it Forward’ bursaries are based on financial need. These bursaries are available for committed students who are prepared to work hard, with great attitudes. These individuals once successfully employed, in turn ‘Pay it Forward’ to support another individual who might be unemployed or unable to fund their education.

Financial aid and ‘Pay it Forward’ Bursaries are available to cover all. On a full bursary, you will contribute only R200 per month while studying, and once you are placed in a job help someone else at a fixed rate.

"Pay it forward" is about a community of support. It's about everyone helping someone else as they start to become successful. That ‘someone’ can be your own brother or sister that you help to sponsor their education, or someone else you care about. Alternatively, we will find someone for you to sponsor.

Here’s how it works: Monthly contributions to "Pay It Forward"

All students - R200 pm (throughout your time on a ‘Pay it Forward’ Bursary)
Students earning a stipend: a percentage of the stipend every month (once MII gets you on a stipend you pay part of that forward to help someone else)
Employed graduates R600 per month (once you graduate and are employed)

Although the total true value of your education is in excess of one million Rand, through the ‘Pay it Forward’ programme, you ultimately pay back a small fraction of this, currently an amount of R118,000 in total, interest-free and over many years.
